Interpreting the IOSCAN Report

From the output of ioscan you can determine the hardware address and LUN. This sample output has

been color coded to help with the explanation.

Use the information in this table to help determine the SCSI ID and the actual LUN number.

SCSI ID = SCSI Offset + SCSI Index = 0 + 22 = 22

This hardware address results from binding 0000e8:lpfc0t22

Hardware address: 10/1/8/0.1.22

SCSI ID = SCSI Offset + SCSI Index = 255 + 22 = 277

This hardware address results from binding 0000e4:lpfc0t277
